Hello Guys, How to calculate gratuity in case of Death

Suppose one employee completed 2 years and died during the service. How much gratuity need to pay his/her nominee

His Basic & DA is 15000/-
DOJ 01/02/2020
DOD 01/10/2021

Gratuity payable in this case can be worked out using the formula (15000/26)X 15X 2) = Rs 17,308 .

That is why to reduce the burden of this liability and get more benefits to the employee, companies take compulsory insurance under section 04A of the Gratuity Act. So that after death, the calculation of the employee till the date of retirement is paid by the concerned insurance company.
