Facing a PF Summons: What Should I Bring and Expect at the Hearing?

Hi Friends,

I have just joined a company as an Assistant HR Manager where they haven't paid the PF amount for the last six months. I have now received a notice from the PF office (it's a summons). What will be the punishment or what are the documents that I have to carry to that hearing?

According to labor law, you have to pay a fine depending on the number of days you are delayed in meeting the requirements. Although there is a clause for imprisonment for up to one year, that scenario rarely occurs. They have asked you to come for a hearing on the 18th of December. They requested you to bring Form 1 (which I am not familiar with) and the PF register book, as well as attendance records.
