Dear patrons, my company has reached a strength of over 500 employees, prompting the factory inspector to request the appointment of a welfare officer in accordance with Rule 76B of the AP&TS Factory Rules. I now need to issue an appointment letter. Could you please provide a sample of an appointment letter for this purpose?

Dear Yarlagadda-Krishna-Rao, In most companies, the format of the appointment letter is standardized. The contents of the appointment letter do not vary by designation. At best, there can be two formats of appointment letters: one for senior management personnel and the other for different roles. Therefore, you may keep the format of the appointment letter the same as you would issue to any other manager. However, if you wish, you may add "Duties and Responsibilities" as an appendix to this letter.
