EPF Death claim filing by beneficiary - "Members service details are required against all service records with EPFO"

When I am filing an online death claim for the worker's nominee in EPF, the message "Member's service details are required against all service records with EPFO" is displayed. What is the reason for this type of message from EPFO? Please guide me on how I can file the claim.

I get the same error while claiming a death claim online. In this case, I have two passbooks on the same UAN from two different organizations.

In all the above cases, you may visit the local EPFO Office and discuss with the authority based on the case's merit.

Your stance may be that for all the above cases, except the situation where there are two UAN numbers assigned to one employee, the record is available at the PF Office from the UAN. Please settle the matter based on the records of EPFO.
