Career Growth in HR - Would earning a law degree from distance learning add any advantage to my professional growth?

HRAnjali
Good Evening to All the Learned Members!
I am an MBA(HR) having approx. 5.5 years of experience. I want to grow and polish myself more in this field. Would earning a law degree from distance learning add any advantage to my professional growth? As I came to know that distance LLB is not approved by the Bar Council of India. Or should I learn about Labor Laws on my own from books and articles? Kindly throw some light on the same and guide me. Thanking You All in Advance for Your invaluable suggestions.

Dear Anjali,

You have acquired a degree of MBA already. Therefore, the education course you do hereafter would be a value-added one and not a primary one. Secondly, you are going to pursue your career in the field of HR and not law. Therefore, the degree in law, whether through regular course or correspondence course, does not matter. Its recognition by the Bar Council of India also does not matter.

Other than those who pursue their career in the legal field, a degree of law always supplements the primary profession. A person may be working in HR or Commercial or Finance department, legal knowledge improves the decision-making abilities of the manager.

All the best!

Dear madam,

Doing suitable diploma/certificate course in labour laws, if available, might be a good value addition.
