One of our colleagues joined the ESI hospital for COVID treatment. Unfortunately, he passed away. Can someone tell me what benefits his family is entitled to? He is also covered under PF.
"Joined" means employment. The right word should be "admitted." If the employee was an ESI contributory in the past half-year (October 2020 to March 2021) for more than 91 days, then all regular death and funeral benefits may be claimed from ESIC by the nominee.
