Confused by EPF Account Errors After Transfer? Here's How to Tackle It

sde-trans
I have worked in BSNL Chandigarh Establishment (Account A), but due to transfer, my new account was opened by Establishment Jalandhar (Account B). I have not transferred my EPF from Account A to Account B. On transferring back to my first place of employment, the employer has started contributing my EPF to Account A.

Now, I am trying to merge my EPF from Account B to Account A, but the system is showing the employer as Account B and giving the error "Present Employer has not made payment in your PF account." Also, on a member one EPF account, the present employer is showing incorrectly. Please guide.

At Sde-Trans, first of all, ask your employer why they haven't closed your previous PF account, i.e., Date of Exit not updated. For how long were you working in Jalandhar?

Ideal Scenario for PF Account Transfer

The ideal scenario in these types of cases is that if an employee gets transferred to another location or unit, the previous PF account has to be closed. In your case, the employer didn't close your previous account, and when you joined back at your location, they started contributing to the previous PF account. They can send a clarification letter to the concerned PF office for rectification of the same along with a joint declaration (employer & employee) to correct the records and transfer your funds to the previous PF account.

Just for attending an interview, they created a PF account and updated it in my UAN without the present employer's contribution. How can I claim my previous PF amount without the payment from the present employer?
