Temporary Lay Off for Permanent Employee for 3 months or more - please explain the entire process

Dear All,

I am working in an IT, plus multiple software designing, kind of company. Our head office (USA) is currently facing a difficult time in getting business. So, can we at our India branch reduce some staff for the next three months? If it's possible, please explain the entire process. We have all staff on payroll, we have PF enrollments as well, and they all have already completed more than 2 years.

You need to hire the services of a legal adviser for your company who will advise you from time to time on understanding your organization, various aspects related to the employer and employees, etc. He will also take care of legal drafting, which you may not be able to do.
