Earned Leave for Short-Term Employees: Is It Mandatory to Pay After Just 30 Days?

It is mandatory to pay earned leave even to an employee who worked for 30 days and resigned. Please advise.

Eligibility for Earned Leave

No person is eligible for earned leave (E.L.) unless he or she has worked for 240 days in the previous year.
