Salary on hold for 2 months - what amount of Professional tax should we deduct?

connexions-consultants
Suppose, if an employee's salary is on hold for 2 months, and we are paying salary for 3 months alltogether, what amount of Professional tax should we deduct if his P.Tax per month is Rs. 200. Should we deduct Rs. 200 or Rs. 600? Please help.

Dear Ritu Roy,
The salary is accrued by the employee on working for three months and not for one month.
Whether you pay it together for three months or for one year (which you can not do legally), you have to pay P.Tax on the basis of monthly salary.

If some one work for three months and left the organization, then how much professional tax levy on it from employer side?

PT has to be recovered as per state slabs. However few states have relaxed by notifying deferred payment/remittance to govt.agencies, filing of returns. Pl.check web site of the state govt.
