Reward and Recognition Program - share your views/suggestions/thoughts on how should I initiate with the plan?

Hello Everyone, Our organization is planning to implement R&R program for our corporate staff. This includes Business development, Marketing, Admin, Accounts,HR, Facilities team etc. We are exploring the various rewards and measurement crietria for these rewards. These awards are further categorized to Individual Excellence, People Excellence and Business Excellence.
Request you to share your views/suggestions/thoughts on how should I initiate with the plan. I have identifies few rewards but need assistance on how to mesaure the selection criteria in detail. It will be much helpful if you could share your expertise. Thank you in advance.

Every company has its own R&R program. I would only suggest you to make a uniform R&R policy for all departments and not separately as Marketing, Production, HR, Accounts etc. The criterion of R&R to be achievable yet challenging enough, motivating the personnel towards their efforts.

I would request help on how to evaluate the effectiveness of the employee recognition program. Is there any tools, theory available to measure the effectiveness. We have thought of taking an pre/post employee survey/connect to understand the pulse of the employees.

Taking a pre and post employee survey through a questionnaire is more worthwhile after you implement R&R scheme.
Observe the visible benefits once you implement R&R in the specific area e.g. if the area is Safety - assess whether accidents, near miss incidents have minimized, safety awareness has increased. But give it a due thought and due period. Don't rush for assessing results in a short span. R&R if properly communicated, implemented will go a long way in spreading the positivism across organization.
