Forced to Resign Due to Covid-19: How Can I Legally Fight for My Job and Compensation?

khushboo1
Dear All,

I was working with a Bangalore-based organization but was posted in Delhi. Due to Covid-19, my employers forced me to resign. Despite my continuous denial, they terminated me yesterday. Could you please advise on the legal actions I can take? Additionally, I would appreciate it if you could provide an email ID for complaint filing in Delhi to pursue compensation and the possibility of getting my job back.

As the labor offices are currently closed, I am uncertain about when I might hear from them after sending an email.

Thank you.

Dear friend, what has happened to you is unfortunate. I recommend writing a letter to the MD of your company for the restoration of your services. Mark a copy of this letter to Shri Gopal Rai, Minister of Environment, Development, Labour & Employment, General Administration, Government of NCT Delhi. His Twitter handle is @AapKaGopalRai.

Since the head office of your company is in Bangalore, mark the second copy of the letter to Shri S Suresh Kumar, Labour Minister, Government of Karnataka. His Twitter handle is @nimmasuresh.

Due to the lockdown, it may not be possible for you to take a printout. Therefore, simply write a letter by hand. However, ensure that the handwriting is neat and easily readable.

Before writing the letter, please refer to the following link: https://lawcovid19.blogspot.com/.

All the best!

Dear friend,

Attached is the circular issued by Karnataka Employers' Association (KEA). The contents are self-explanatory and will be helpful to you.

Thanks,
Dinesh Divekar
