Can Employers Deny Entry After Half-Day Leave Due to Salary Processing Issues? Seeking Legal Guidance

nsripad@rediffmail.com
Employee took half a day off during the forenoon session on the last day of the month, i.e., the 31st or 30th, and returned to work for the post-lunch session of the shift. Can the employer refuse to allow such an employee inside the factory premises under the guise of administrative inconvenience for salary processing? Is this compliant with the rule of law? Please provide guidance.

If you have a leave policy that allows employees to avail of half-a-day CL (casual leave), you must allow them to report for duty for the post-lunch session of their shift.
