ESIC ID Mix-Up: How Can We Merge IDs and Let the Employee Keep Their Old Card?

Situation:

1. Employee has a Permanent card from ESIC that has not been updated with the HR Department.
2. As HR was not aware of it, a new ID was created in ESIC.
3. The employee wishes to continue using the previous permanent card.

Queries:

1. How can both be merged?
2. Can the employee continue using the same card?

It is always better to have the earlier issued ESI card with the earlier IP number so that one can continue to receive the benefits of ESI.
