Worried About Offer Letter from XXX? Need Clarity on Client Restrictions and Timeline

I have recently given an interview. After clearing all rounds (technical, managerial, and HR), HR informed me that they are going to forward my profile for business approval. Then a background check will take place, and the offer letter will be released in 10–12 days.

In the application form, I forgot to enter my 10th and 12th grades, but I informed them about my academic percentage during the HR round, which is greater than 70% throughout. I also mistakenly entered "NO" in "Have you attended XXX interview before," but I subsequently informed HR that I appeared for XXX in 2014 but failed to clear the written test. HR just made corrections in the hard copy of my application form with a pen.

Yesterday, I received an email from XXX to sign the New Hire document "New Hire Verification and Affirmation regarding contractual Restriction," which I have sent back fully signed. I also learned from a friend that XXX does not provide an offer letter to individuals who have worked or are currently working with its client. I want to know if Ericsson is a client of Infosys.

I want to know if I will be receiving an offer letter from XXX, and if so, in how many days I can expect it, as I have another offer but want to join XXX at any cost if given the opportunity.

Dear friend, you have written that "Also, I get to know from one of my friends that Infosys does not provide an offer letter to individuals who have or are currently working with its client."

I don't understand why a company like Infosys would not issue an "Offer Letter." This letter informs a job candidate where and when to report, what documents are required, and, above all, the salary breakdown. Without this vital information, how can a job candidate join? If offer letters are not provided, what is the alternative? Perhaps a company like Infosys may send an email that is equivalent to the offer letter.

This is the 21st century, and job candidates do not wait at the gates of companies until they are called inside!

Therefore, remove worries from your mind about when you will receive the "Offer Letter." Delays may occur because the environment is always changing. If their client delays the project, your joining will also be delayed. So, gentlemen, show patience!

You can join whichever offer you have received from the new company. Once you receive the offer letter from Infosys, you may reconsider your decision. Anyhow, you can convince either Infosys or your present company to allow you to join or be relieved. There is no need to worry; join the current offer without any prejudices or biases.
