Election Day Dilemma: Should Night Shifts in IT & ITES Get a Holiday Too?

We all know there is an exemption for IT & ITES companies on declared election holidays. Are night shift operations to be carried out as usual, or do we need to declare a holiday for them too?

Election Day Holiday Exemption

There is no exemption to declare a paid holiday on the day of the 'election' for those units located within a constituency. However, for those who are called to work on the 'night shift,' there need not be a paid holiday on this shift. Instead, the shift timing should be adjusted so that the polling timing does not overlap with the shift timing.
