Employee Forgot UAN Password and Mobile is Off – How Can We Reset It?

One of my employees has forgotten his UAN password, and his mobile number is also switched off. Please let me know the other process to reset the password.

In that case, you have to click on the "forgot password" option. Once there, you need to select "no" when asked for the OTP. Then, proceed to enter his details as per the EPF record and Aadhar or PAN details. You can change the password by following these steps. Feel free to ask if you encounter any difficulties.

As per the process you told me, I tried to do the same. After asking for no OTP, I had to fill up his details as per the EPF record, but still getting an error ("The above information provided is not matching with the information available in the system. Kindly contact the EPFO Office").

His Aadhaar is not linked to the EPF Account. In this case, what is the other option? Does the employer login have the option to change the mobile number?

In that case, the old mobile number can help to reset the password, or you can contact your regional EPF office personally.
