How to convert from being a Sales Manager to a Marketing Manager

I have four years of experience as a Sales Manager. What are the things I should learn, know, or do to become a Marketing Manager in the future? I have an MBA in Marketing and HR (minor).

If you have completed an MBA in Marketing, then after working as a salesperson for 1-2 years, you could have moved to the Marketing Department. Spending four years is a little longer. Most marketing managers start their careers in sales but move to their core area as soon as possible. You can try for marketing even now, but the transition could possibly come with a reduced salary. Are you prepared for that?

Lastly, your query is not consistent with your qualification. In fact, you should be guiding others on the transition from sales to marketing.
