I was working in a company as an HR coordinator on a 6-month contract basis. Basically, I am from a Tamil medium background, so I don't have strong communication skills. After completing my MBA in HR, I got a job in the manufacturing industry as an HR Generalist. I learned a lot about HR work in that company and gained 1 year of experience. Afterwards, I got married, which led to a 3-year gap in my profession. Now, I struggle with communication, but I haven't forgotten what I learned in my previous company. Currently, I am working in the field of joining formalities, which is essentially data entry work.
During the interview, I accepted the contract because the interviewer assured me that after 6 months, I would be made a permanent employee and would receive ESI and PF benefits. So, I agreed to work. However, I have now realized that I don't have any defined roles and responsibilities here, and there is no learning process. I need some advice on this situation. I am really confused about whether I should quit the job or continue. There are still 2 months left to complete my contract period. I am very interested in learning more about HR statutory compliances like ESI, PF, and the payroll process. What should I do?
