Am I Eligible for an Appraisal After Resigning? Seeking Guidance on Company Hold-ups

Poojadhav
I have served a 60-day notice period to my company on September 13, 2018. I fall within the June month appraisal cycle. I have already submitted my appraisal details for July 2017 - June 2018, which is the process cycle. My question is, am I eligible for an appraisal, as I have resigned post-appraisal cycle (already performed for July 2017 - June 2018)? What needs to be done if the company is holding my appraisal? Kindly guide.

Appraisals do not come under the purview of any labor law; they will purely depend on the company's policy.

It appears that you have a firm belief that appraisal is only for the salary hike and nothing else. Performance Appraisal (PA)

Performance Appraisal (PA) should be done as per the Policy on Performance Appraisal (PA). In your company, the appraisal cycle is from 1st July to 30th June. But then what is the due date by which the Manager must complete the PA report and submit it to HR? Going further, what is the due date by which the annual salary increment takes place? If the appraisal cycle ended on 30th June, then why has the salary increment not taken place so far?

Has the salary increment taken place for other employees? Is it that you have been left out from the increase because you are on a notice period? Is there any clause in the Policy on PA about a hike for employees who are on the notice period?

Please clarify the above points. Suitable suggestions can be given thereafter. As Prashant has said, there is no legal remedy for your problem.

Thanks,
