How to Begin Renumbering Assets with Numeric Codes: Seeking Advice on Profit Centers and Analysis

My company has decided to renumber their assets, which include items from tanks to office equipment. Can anyone suggest ideas on where to start from the profit centers and analysis codes below:

Profit Centre Analysis Code

Commercial Fuel Tanks
Tanks
Sundry plant
Lubricants
Office equipment
Operations Office/Utes
Cars and utilities
Operations Driver/trucks
Land and buildings
Head Office
Truck and trailers
Training & Safety
Furniture and fittings

However, the company only wants to use numeric codes for their assets, no alpha codes.
