Dear member,
If you are from Content Marketing Industry then your company comes under the provisions of Shops and Establishment Act. If you are from Bangalore then provisions of Karnataka Shops and Establishment Rule, 1963 apply to you.
As far these rules are concerned, eligibility for leave is a day's leave for every 20 working days. Therefore, each employee is eligible for maximum 15 days leave per annum. Few companies go beyond these statutory provisions and make provision for sick leave, casual leave etc. However, it is purely internal matter of the company or discretion of the top management.
Your query is on absence arising out of off-duty accident. How to make provision for such absence that you may discuss with your top management.
Thanks,
Dinesh Divekar
