Soft Skills Training: Should Employers Pay Employees for Attending Sessions?

HRthings
Hello all, I would like to ask here: If an employer is investing in employees' soft skills training, do they also need to pay the employees for the sessions attended? Kindly assist!

Dear HRthings,

Your query is not clear. Please provide correct information such as who attended the training, who conducted the training, where it was conducted, who paid the training charges, etc. Is your query from the employer's side or the employee's side? Please specify that as well.

Thanks,

Dear Dinesh,

Thanks for your response! I am an HR professional working in an IT company. We have hired a soft skills trainer to train our employees. Should we schedule this session during office hours, or can we schedule it after office hours?

Please advise on the best approach.

Thank you.

Dear HR colleague,

Any on-the-job training, whether during working hours or not, entitles the employee to receive their salary, regardless of whether the training costs are covered by the company.
