Confused About Career Path: Should I Pursue an MBA in HR or Finance for Better Growth?

Hi, next month, I will be joining a leading BPO as a fresher. My job will involve data entry. I completed my graduation in April 2018. I am taking this job because it is with a reputed company. I had planned to pursue an MBA this year, but due to some personal problems, it was not possible. However, I am determined not to halt my education; I want it to continue. I am concerned about my career and am confused about which course I should pursue to ensure my career grows in the right direction.

Course Options for Career Growth

Should I opt for an HR certificate course for six months from SCDL and then pursue an MBA in HR? Or should I consider obtaining certificates in different specializations by doing a Certificate Course in Finance and an MBA in Finance? Which option has greater scope? Please help me as I am completely perplexed. I cannot afford to let my career suffer.

Choosing Between MBA in Finance or HR

a) Whether to pursue an MBA in Finance or HR is your personal decision. We, as members of this forum, are outsiders and do not know your interests or preferences. If you have a commerce background, Finance might be a bit easier. Those without a commerce background often find Finance challenging. If you excel in theoretical subjects, then HR could be a good fit for you.

Pursuing an MBA and Certification Courses

b) Regardless of the discipline, whether Finance or HR, if you have decided to pursue an MBA, there is no need for any certification course. Just complete 1-2 years in your current job, then pursue an MBA. If you have the opportunity to do a full-time MBA, that would be preferable.

Improving English Proficiency

c) In addition to taking an MBA course, you need to improve your English. With your current level of English, how you were selected for that BPO job is something you would know better. Please note that merely having command over English will not guarantee a good job, but a lack of it will certainly hinder your career. Whether to improve your English or not is your decision.

Professional Attitude and Quality of Work

d) Lastly, your post reflects a lack of attention to quality. The way you have written the post shows a carefree attitude, which is not acceptable in the professional world. It doesn't require much effort to write a post in MS Word and then copy and paste it here. This laziness may hold back your career.
