I worked for a company for about 9-10 months. During my time there, I took laptops and communication cables from the company for work purposes. I have now sent a resignation letter to the company, but I received an email stating that I should follow the notice period and return the laptops and other materials I borrowed. However, I have already returned all the materials and the laptop to the company. I have not signed any appointment letter, confirmation letter, or any kind of bond with the company. They are threatening to lodge an official complaint against me within a week. Please guide me on what to do. Do they have any right to file a complaint against me? I have joined a new job.
