I'm seeking employment from a US/European MNC. They do not have an office in India. They would like to employ me on a 'contract'. All remuneration—salaries and expenses—will be reimbursed in USD/Euros directly to my account. They are currently flexible in choosing the headers on the payslip that could help me save on taxation.
In such a case, since money is transmitted in USD/Euro, which headers should I request to be shown in the contract to save 'maximum income-tax'? It will be my personal liability from the payment received to be paid to the IT.
Also, related to expenses and reimbursements (this job will also involve international and domestic travel for business), how could these be claimed as proof? The invoices/bills will be with me, while they will only be reimbursing the amount to my expense. Would it help to keep the invoices/bills for tax purposes? Does any CiteHR member have experience with such a matter?
