Seeking Zone-Wise BBMP Notified Areas in Karnataka for 2018-19 to Determine Employee Wages

Zone Classification by Karnataka Labour Department for 2018-19

As per the latest notification by the Karnataka Labour Department for 2018-19, shops and establishments are divided into four zones as follows:

Zone-I: Notified Areas under Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike

Zone-II: Other Parts of the State Notified Areas Under Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike
Other than the areas mentioned in Zone-I.

Zone-III: All Districts Other than Areas Notified in Zone-I and Zone-II

Zone-IV: All Other Parts of the State
Other than areas notified in Zone-I, Zone-II, and Zone-III.

Can anyone provide the BBMP notified areas for the entire Karnataka (city, town, etc.) zone-wise details? This information will help in fixing the wages of the employees working in various areas of the state.

Dear Mr. Venugopal,

BBMP means "Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike" and is applicable only for Bangalore, the capital of Karnataka. The jurisdiction of BBMP covers only Bangalore.

Could you please provide information on where your employees are working, the location of your office, and the type of establishment?

Thank you for your immediate response. We have branches in Hubli, Bellary, Belgaum, Hospet, Davangere, Mysore, and Shivamogga. Could you specify the zones for the mentioned places? If a notification copy is made available, it would be very helpful.

Dear Mr. Venugopal,

Please refer to the notification which you have already mentioned in your question. Zone-II (All other Municipal Corporations in the State) is applicable for your offices as mentioned by you.

What about Bannerghatta - Hommadevanahalli/Sakalavara? Under which zone does this area fall? Please guide.

Please clarify Hosathota Village in Devanahalli, Karnataka, comes in which zone in Karnataka labour law. It is 35 km from Bangalore and is on NH7 on the road towards the New International Airport of Bangalore.
