Are Maternity Benefits Available for Consultants Outside the Software Industry?

Hi, I am working in a private organization as a "Professional/Consultant," and I wanted to know about the maternity benefits for professional/consultant women who are not from the software field.

Maternity benefits for professional/consultants

Are maternity leave and its benefits given to professional/consultants as well? Professional/consultants are those who have a half-yearly agreement with the company to render their services, for which the company pays them a consultation fee, and TDS is deducted from their fees.

In my case, I am regularly punching my attendance, which can establish the relationship between the professional and the company.

Please advise.

Thank you for the reply. I just wanted to confirm if it is still valid if my contract letter does not state that I am an employee of this company. My contract letter mentions that the agreement is between the "company" and the "professional."
