Dear Sir/Madam,

I have registered my EPF member portal account with my personal contact number. Now, I need to update it with a new contact number in the EPF member portal account as I lost my old contact number.

Suggestions, please.

Steps to Update Your Mobile Number on the EPF Portal

Before updating your mobile number, you must ensure that your KYC is updated and approved by your employer. Then, go to the portal at http://unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.go...mberinterface/ and click on "Forgot Password." Enter your UAN number and Captcha, then click on the "NO" button. Proceed by entering your name and date of birth, and verify using Aadhar or PAN. Once the data is matched with your UAN and either your Aadhar or PAN, the option to update your contact number will be available. Enter your new contact number, receive the OTP, enter the OTP, and create your new password.

Sir,

Thank you for your reply. For approving KYC, my name in EPF is CH Srinu, but in my Aadhar card and other proofs, it is mentioned as Chaganti Srinu. Due to this discrepancy in names between Aadhar and EPF, my employer has not updated my KYC. They have advised me to update it through the UAN portal. Once again, I am facing a problem. Could you please guide me on how to update my KYC? I have forgotten my password and also changed my mobile number.

Thank you.

In that case, you will have to submit a Joint Declaration form by filling in the correct details, attaching your Aadhaar and PAN cards, having it signed by an authorized signatory, and submitting it to your establishment's PF Office in the EDP Department. You should then get an acknowledgment of the submission and inquire about the timeframe for your name correction (7-10 working days). Once your name is changed on the EPFO portal, you can proceed to the "forgot password" option and reset your new mobile number.

I hope this information is helpful to you. The Joint Declaration form is attached for your use.
