Is My Company’s 30-Day Salary Calculation Unethical or Against Compliance Laws?

Hello, I am starting to work as an HR professional with one of the pharmaceutical manufacturing companies. Here, I have found that our HR administration calculates our employees' salaries based on only 30 days every month. However, we all know that in a calendar year, we have 7 months with 31 days, 4 months with 30 days, and 1 month with 28 days.

Please let me know if my company is engaging in unethical practices or if there is a violation of rules, regulations, or compliance laws.

Hi Abhishek,

Salary needs to be calculated based on the number of days in that particular month and a wage register needs to be maintained.
