Safety Concerns in PP Compound Production
I work as a Safety Officer in an MNC company. We produce PP compounds. During production, a large quantity of lumps is generated and becomes very hot. Our production team removes them and keeps them in small volumes to make the scrap process easier.
Since the lumps are very hot when removed and are kept near walking areas during line startup, I have observed this to be very dangerous. Additionally, during this process, they immerse the tools in water, which helps to move the lumps away. Consequently, water is spilled all over the shop floor in the working area. This may lead to accidents during the urgency of line startup.
If someone experienced in this could help me and provide guidance, it would be greatly appreciated.
Regards,
Anjana
