Please note no employment is allowed / permitted, during National Holidays, unless you are an exempted as a continuous process industry, and has an approval for the same. Employment of permanent / contract / casual employees in Festival Holidays ( The National Festival Act) with prior permission from Inspectorate for maintenance / continuous process industry, you have to pay double the wages, plus one holiday with wages.
There is one small exemption / exclusion clause in the Act, for any casual / contract workmen, employed in Festival Holidays, one day leave with wages is eligible, provided the employee is on the rolls of the company / worked previous proceeding 30 days.

You are advised to follow the rules of the state either Shops & Commercial Establishment or Factorys Act where your establishment is exist, in absence of certified Standing Order or Leave rules of the establishment. It is to be noted that no employment is allowed / permitted, during National Holidays. You have to pay double the wages or substituted holiday or double the wages with substituted holiday or tripple of the wages as the case may be as per the rules of the state.
