Navigating Tamil Nadu MSME: Which 2018 Public Holiday List Should We Follow?

Dear Sir,

If an establishment is registered under Tamil Nadu MSME (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises), which public holiday list for 2018 can the establishment follow? If the public holiday list for 2018 is available under Tamil Nadu MSME, please share the same. What is the leave structure under Tamil Nadu MSME?

You may follow the holidays as per the Tamil Nadu Industrial Establishments (National and Festival Holidays) Act. As such, you can have 4 national holidays, i.e., 26th January, 1st May, 15th August, and 2nd October, and 5 festival holidays in consultation with the employees. These five holidays can be chosen from any of the festivals considering the religious and regional interests of the employees.

If in a factory, one day off for every 20 days worked in the preceding year. If in a shop, 12 days of CL, 12 days of SL, and upon completion of 12 months of service, 12 days of EL.
