Struggling with Digital Signature Approval in EPFO Portal – Any Solutions?

Hi, I am trying to approve the KYC of our employee in the new unified portal of EPFO. I go to Member > Approvals and click on the Approve button. I have the digital signature (DSC token) available and connected. I got a popup of the Digital Signature window, under which the digital signature person details are not displayed for digitally signing the PDF.

I have updated the latest version of JAVA and Firefox version 52.x; however, the same problem persists. A few days ago, I visited the PF office where they checked the digital signature token, which is working on their system. We are using the same digital signature for other tasks like Form16 and GST. Please help me regarding this. Kindly find attached a screenshot for your reference.

I too faced the same issue. What our IT guys did was they asked us to use old IE and install an old Java "jre-7u51-windows-x64". Now it's working fine for us with the DSC token.

Mr. Sumitro, thank you for your reply. Which operating system and Internet Explorer version are you using? I am using Windows 10 on my laptop. Please provide me with more information so that I can resolve my issue.

Dear Sunil Kumar,

As you mentioned that on the PF portal, no digital signatory appears, it means you have not registered your digital signature. First, register your digital signature on the EPFO portal. A form will appear after this process for the specimen signature. Sign in three places on the form. Send the form to your PF office, where the authority will authorize your digital signature, and you will be able to approve with the DS.

Please confirm if you can see your name under the Digital signature. If you notice it pending for RPFC approval, kindly contact the PF office.

This is, I think, a compatibility issue with the Java version and Mozilla Firefox version. I tried the following versions, and it worked:

1. Java version 8 update 171
2. Mozilla Firefox 52 ESR

DSC is not registering on the PF portal. I am unable to update the KYC of employees. Kindly suggest what I should do. When I am registering the KYC, the window that is attached shows an error.

You are requested to please give me suggestions as soon as possible. For your information, I want to inform you that this DSC is working properly on the GST portal.

Steps to Resolve Digital Signature Issues on EPFO Portal

Please try the following steps. I hope they will work for you:

1) Go to Control Panel.
2) In Control Panel, go to Programs.
3) In Programs, navigate to Java.
4) In Java, go to Security.
5) In Security, press the Edit Site List button.
6) Now, press the Add button and add our PF site "https://unifiedportal-emp.epfindia.gov.in/epfo".

After completing the above steps, go to your browser and use Mozilla Firefox:

1) Open the menu on the right side of the screen (showing three horizontal lines, click on it).
2) Go to Security.
3) Navigate to General Exceptions.
4) Now, add our site "https://unifiedportal-emp.epfindia.gov.in/epfo" and allow it.
5) Restart the browser and log in to your account.
