Basic Requirement before occupying any Work-Space /Premises, where any Business Activity is to be carried out is "seeking" and "securing" a Valid Permit to do so which includes:
1. Space on-rent or on-self-ownership basis with all applicable Permissions; and
2. The Establishment Certificate applied for and issued by the Competent Authority under the
Shops & Establishment Act and the Rules of the concerned State/Province of India Union
after paying/depositing the prescribed Fees for a Fixed Term/Period renewable on the Expiry
of the Sanctioned Period.
The Establishment Certificate issued by the Authority must be Prominently Displayed at the Premises Notice Board.
As you ar4 Beginning, it is Important for you and your Employer to comply with all the Provisions of the New Law namely " Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition & Redressal) Act 2013 and the Rules framed by the Central Govt. and Gazetted on 9.12.2013.
In this connection, your attention is drawn to Section-19 of the said Act.
