Hey, thank you for providing such valuable information. It's great work indeed! 😊

I couldn't find the salary structure for HR professionals. Could you please update me on the salary for HR trainees with 1 year of experience, etc., just as you have done before? It would be very helpful to me as I am planning to transition from software development to the HR field.
NirzariShah
Hi,

If you carefully review the attached sheet for Wipro, you will find the necessary bifurcations.

Thank you very much. I am an HR professional at an IT firm. This structure has truly helped me out.

I see that a lot of effort has gone into the collation of this information. I am a little confused about the Wipro fitment sheet attached. I have a feeling that the amounts quoted are too low for the respective designations. I may be wrong, but this is my thought.

Thank you for posting good information. I will comment on it as soon as I study it in detail.

Hello,

I am posting a few Salary Guides that I hope will be really useful. I have used the same for our Appraisal System. Please don't download it blindly. Let me know if this is useful or not, as I have prepared this with lots of inputs.

Miss Nirzari Shah

Hi, Ms. Shah,

You have tried to put across data in a concise format, but I don't appreciate the same professionally.

1) Salaries are confidential to every organization, so disclosing the same with the name of the company without taking necessary approval from the concerned organization is wrong.

2) You can conduct a salary survey, but if organizations are not willing to share the same officially, you can just do an overall comparison and give your view, stating the minimum, median, and maximum salary.

3) Refer to professionally conducted surveys by Mercer. You will understand what I mean.
In our organization, strong steps are taken against anybody disclosing company information in public. I got alarmed as my organization is mentioned in the survey, though the data is not very correct.
As an HR person, we need to understand what the industry trend is and need not disclose confidential data to others, which we get to know by virtue of our position in the organization.
Please take it in the right sense. :o

Hi Navroz,

I can say this sheet is very close to the actual figures. I have collated this data from various sources within the company itself. It's entirely up to individuals whether to consider this as a benchmarking salary structure or to review it together to assess its authenticity.

The purpose of sharing this sheet is solely to keep people informed. The final decision is yours to make.

Nirzari Shah

Hi Ritu,

Thanks for the input you gave. I appreciate and buy into your suggestions too. I have completely removed the post. But to add on to what you said, I will mention that salaries are never confidential in the HR industry. To know what a person at XYZ company is earning, I can have various sources such as portals, personal references, and candidates sending their CVs. I never claimed that those salaries are correct; they could be seen as benchmarking salary structures. So, chill, I have removed it from the CITE HR.

Regards,
Nirzari

Hi Nirzari,

I didn't intend to ask you to remove the post, just suggesting to avoid mentioning company names. We all know the salary level, but in order to avoid any problems, data shouldn't be disclosed without necessary approval.

My friend had done such a thing and had to face management's brunt, so just guiding you.

Anyways, good work :-)
NirzariShah
Ritu:

Don't worry, it's fine. What you said, I buy in, and if anyone would want, they can of course contact me for that. Chill 😄 & keep giving suggestions because that's how we grow.

Nirzari

Thank you for providing the salary details. Could you please let me know which industry this salary is related to?

I believe a lot of effort has been done in making this sheet. However, I agree that the figures quoted are too low, and the authenticity is doubtful because this has not been published by any standard authority.

Also, a little confusion lies in the part where you see that for a Team leader, there are three designations: Manager, Sr. Exec, Jr. Exec. Now, how does that make sense? If someone can explain to me, I may not be getting it, though it may be simple to understand.

Hi Nirzari,

I believe there may be some confusion regarding the information below: Here are the monthly salaries for a SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR. It states that the Manager's salary is 16,000 and the Senior Executive's salary is 17,000. I don't think this information is accurate. Additionally, you have not provided any details about compensation related to experience.

Thank you.
ANILCORDA
Dear Friend,

Could you please let me know if this salary survey is more IT-related and if it covers sectors such as Manufacturing, Retail, Finance, etc.?

Hi Nirzari,

Could you provide me with the CTC or salary structure for HR professionals? How are they positioned in the IT sector compared to software, finance, marketing, etc.? Do they receive equal, lower, or higher compensation? Please quantify.

I am certain that many HR personnel subscribed to CITE HR are eager to know. While the salary surveys for 2005 & 2006 available on the site offer some insights, they do not clearly address the IT sector.

Thank you and congratulations on the great job!

Hi,

I appreciate your effort in drafting such a huge amount of information and sharing it with everyone. I would need a favor from you regarding the salary structure in the pharma and biotech fields as well. I am working for one of the reputed CRO companies in Hyderabad and am currently working on the salary structures for all levels. Please help me by providing the information and do share the source from where I can gather the information. I am waiting for a quick response. Thanks in advance.

Hi Nirzari,

Compliments for posting very useful and insightful information. However, I have a feeling that the slabs seem on the lower side, though I do not have much data; it's only a gut feeling.

Thanks again for the info.

Hi Sherine,

It seems the salaries given are very low compared to the current market scenario. Is this based on the recent survey?

Thank you.

Hello Miss Shah,

This is very good and helpful information, but there is nothing about the HR field. Is that a complete salary survey or partial?

Hi Nilankur,

I came across this attachment today and I am a bit skeptical about certain positions, such as Accounts Manager. Have the qualifications and location been considered? Because ideally, an experienced Chartered Accountant in Bombay will not be available as an Accounts Manager at a CTC of 6 Lacs.

Thank you.
AKD
Hi,

Good information, but I think the salary quoted for the General Manager level is very low compared to the present market rate. I believe there are some changes in many fields as shown in the attachment. Overall, as a baseline, it provides good data.

Dear Navroz,

The information is collected from a JobStreet survey based on the recruitment ads posted on their portal. There might be a 15-20% variation. Guess I am True Nirzari.

Hi there,

In most of the designations, the pay is not matching; rather, it is too low as per industry standards. We are in 2008, almost.

Hi Dev,

I am sorry to say that this data does not align closely with actual figures. I believe this data was not collected through a comprehensive salary survey but rather provides an overview of a few small organizations.

Dear All,

What happens to the salary structure when it comes to reality? Why do most firms pay lower salaries to their employees?

Hi,

It is really helpful information. The enclosed information pertains to which industries? If there are no specifications, please provide a salary structure offering for the telecom industry.

Really useful data.

The data is collected from various sources, and it is essential to know who conducted the survey. The data is variable, as per Kelly's survey previously attached to this site. I apologize for not having the attachment right now. However, the packages mentioned in their survey were relatively high compared to the ones attached to this thread. Could the variations be due to geographical reasons?

Thank you.

Dear Nirzari,

I am uploading one more collated data. I hope this is helpful to all of you. Please let me know your views on the same.

Regarding your information, it would be more useful if you could provide details of the salary survey industry-wise. I look forward to your earliest reply on this matter.

Hi,

This site has been very helpful. I work for a US-based employer, and we are looking to establish a company in India. We are considering Chennai, Hyderabad, and Pune. I was wondering how the salary varies across these three locations. Most salary surveys provide data based on job descriptions without considering location. Could any of you point me to a specific site or survey that considers location, experience, and job description? It would be great if the report could also address attrition rates in these locations.

Hey, thank you for such valuable information. Great work indeed! 😁 But I could not spot the salary structure for HR people. Can you please update me with salary information for HR Trainees with 1 year of experience, etc., just the way you've done? It'll be very helpful to me since I'm planning to shift to the HR field from software development field.

Thank you so much for sharing this information. It would be great if you could inform me about the geographical region from which this survey report was generated.
