Statutory benefits cannot be altered if an employee leaves after utilizing them.

Is your question hypothetical? You can initiate action as per the terms and conditions of the appointment order mutually agreed and accepted. Have you not initiated any action against such an employee, directing them to report for work after completion of maternity leave?
