Worried About Degree Verification at Aricent? Seeking Advice on What to Do Next

Hi, I recently joined Aricent Technologies in Bangalore and haven't submitted my degree certificate. I informed them that I will submit it later and wrote the details of my 5th semester in the employment verification form.

I am unsure if Aricent will conduct an educational verification. However, I am concerned about the possible consequences if I fail in the verification process.

I have 6 years of experience in software engineering with 3 companies, none of which have asked for my degree certificate. I believe that Aricent may perform an educational verification. Therefore, I am contemplating whether to inform my manager and potentially leave the job or to continue if they do not conduct educational verification.

While in your current employment, you have provided information that deviates from the truth. In legal terms, this is referred to as suppression of material facts. Why was there a need to do that?

Falsification of information during employment is considered misconduct under the provisions of the Industrial Standing Orders Act, 1946. It remains to be seen whether your current employer will invoke these provisions and terminate your employment, or choose to overlook the falsification. However, you should have sought advice from this forum before resorting to falsification, rather than after. Willfully distorting facts has put you in a precarious situation.

Did your employer obtain an undertaking from you at the time of your employment? If so, what type of undertaking was it? The exact wording of the undertaking also plays a significant role.

Thank you so much for your suggestion. I have taken a wrong step by providing false information, and I'm guilty of that. Now I'm ready to tell the truth to my manager. But is there any chance that he will not fire me and let me continue with this job without any penalty or action upon me.

The big problem is, will this company keep me with an unfinished degree? What do you mean by "undertaking"?

I have received an offer from Infosys, but it involves being on the payroll of another company. They are willing to hire me even though I have not completed my degree. However, I am currently facing a dilemma with Aricent.
