Dear Hizaker2017,
A couple of things are associated with your post. First, let me address the legal requirements. If you wish to quit your employment, please check the provisions of the separation from the company that are mentioned in the Appointment letter (not the offer letter). Generally, the condition of the notice period during the probation is not rigid. Therefore, if you wish to leave, it's better to do so during the probation itself.
Legal Aspect
What I have written above pertains to the legal aspect. Now, moving on to the question of your career. Unarguably, Infosys is a reputable company. I do not know the nature of your work; however, whatever you are currently doing, you must have been well-informed about it before joining. So, why complain now about a conscious decision you made earlier? Why do you feel there are no opportunities in Infosys, which you should know best? Regarding motivation, why seek external motivation? Keep yourself motivated. If the environment at Infosys does not motivate you, then I question how other companies in India could motivate you!
Career Opportunities and Motivation
Many job applicants aspire to work for renowned companies. Be aware that each day spent in this company adds value to your CV. Additionally, the quality of your colleagues matters in every job. Identify colleagues who are interested in intellectual exchanges and initiate discussions with them. Apart from these prestigious companies, it may be challenging to find colleagues of similar caliber.
Career Planning and Internal Opportunities
Seek guidance from someone knowledgeable about your job to help prepare your career plan. Identify the opportunities within Infosys itself. Consider taking relevant courses for internal placement. Approach the HR department of your company and inquire about their suggestions for career advancement.
You are free to make any decision; however, ensure that you do not regret it in the future due to excessive eagerness.
Thanks,
Dinesh Divekar
