Payment of Wages increased from 18,000 to 24,000 under payment of wages act

Payment of Wages Act, 1936 applies to wages payable to an employed person in respect of a wages period is such wages for that wage period do not exceed 18,000 rupees per month.
This wages threshold has been increased from 18,000 to 24,000 w.e.f. 29th August, 2017.

Where ever the Payment of Wages Act, 1936 is applicable this limit is applicable. In the state of Haryana there is no ceiling.

Plz find attached herewith the copy of Haryana Govt. Gazette notification which says that there is no ceiling in the state of Haryana under Payment of Wages Act, 1936.
