Overlapping between last date and joining date - Any possible issues ?

Hi All,
I left an organisation last month and joined a PSU. Although my ex company provided me relieving letter with last working day which overlap around 3 month. Now my ex employer is saying that it is company's policy we cannot do any thing now. My present company has nothing to do with past data as of now. But Soon I will join Grade A job in GOI where while applying I mentioned my working experience wiuth both company. Does this create any issue?

You mean to say, the ex employer as a policy gave you an extra work experience of 3 months???? And this is a Company Policy??? Please elaborate these 2 statements....

All the PSU will verify all the previous employers particulars. So overlapping of dates is a problem. The appointing authority should have noticed in PSU this overlapping of dates while appointing you. However, it is better to request your ex-employer to change the dates. But if were a consultant in both the firms overlapping is allowed.
