New to HR? What Should Be Included in an Appointment Letter for New Joiners?

I know it is a basic question, but I am new to this professional world as a fresher. Please help me with this question: What should be mentioned in the appointment letter during the probation period for new joiners? Does it include stipend or allowances?

In the appointment letter, the following need to be covered:

1. Name and address of the employee
2. Date of issue
3. Clearly mentioned date of joining and designation
4. CTC structure
5. Probation conditions
6. Service conditions
7. Any other information as per your company policy.

Thank you, sir. But I am asking about what we mention in the appointment letter: a. allowances or b. stipend during the probation period. Can we attach this letter with the appointment letter?

Important Clauses for Appointment Letters

Two important clauses need to be incorporated.

One, the date of birth declared by you at the time of appointment is final and will not be changed. This takes care of employees who produce a birth certificate showing an older date than declared to increase the length of service.

Two, whenever you change residence, the address which you have declared must be updated in writing immediately. In the event the organization needs to send an official letter, this clause will avoid all related complexities.
