Struggling to Withdraw PF After Resignation: Could Missing Exit Date Be the Issue?

Farhan Shamsi
Hello, I have already updated my KYC and been approved by the employer. However, after 2 years of resigning, I am unable to withdraw the PF amount. I actually worked for 3 years, but my organization started PF deduction in the last few months of my resignation. The passbook shows the balance, but when I try to withdraw or transfer to a new UAN account, it says, "Online claim request cannot be processed as the present employer has not made payment in your PF account." Despite the balance showing in the passbook, the employer is not assisting and has stated, "you can do whatever you want."

Issue with PF Withdrawal

Secondly, I have noticed that in the service history section, my exit date is not updated. Could this be the issue?

Please help me withdraw my PF amount. Thanks in advance.

Dear Farhan,

You can approach the PF regional office and submit your PF withdrawal form manually, which will be sent to your employer by the PF authorities themselves. This will help resolve your query.

Please note: PF has a stipulation of a break in service/contribution for a minimum of 2 months for the withdrawal of the PF amount.

Hi Manoj, this company of mine has made a double deduction in one month as they have goofed up with the total PF deduction of all the employees. As I can see in the passbook, it shows only one month's deduction, but the amount that shows is for two months. I am really in trouble because the company I am currently working for has a new UAN number, which means I now have two UAN numbers. Is there any other way I can transfer the deductions to my current UAN? When I try to do so, it shows that the present employer has not made the payment.

Thank you.

If your current employer has not made payment to the PF, you can check with them if they can use the same UAN number and amend their records.

Hi, I am facing exactly the same issue. The fund is deposited by the new employer in the new EPF, which is connected to the new UAN. However, when I click on the Transfer Request, I am getting the "Present employer has not made payment in your PF account." error. My old employer has updated all the information in the old UAN. Please suggest how you resolved this issue.

Dear Chandra,

Please check whether your employer has updated the exit entry of yours in his employer unified portal.

Thanks Adroit Services (Adroitservice.Com),

Can you please check if it's possible to withdraw my PF amount? I feel something is fishy with my ex-organisation as they have still not updated the exit date and UAN No 100693195467.
