I think your question is whether the Equal Remuneration Act, 1976, is applicable to an establishment to which the CLRA Act is applicable. If the establishment is a notified one under section 1(3) of the ER Act, 1976, and women workers are also employed therein along with men workers, the Act would be applicable.
Please note that if the Equal Remuneration Act is applicable to your company, the same will be applicable to all employees irrespective of whether they are direct/contract employees. There should not be any discrimination in salary between male and female employees, including for contract employees performing similar jobs.
