Setting Up a Company Creche: Do We Need a Separate License and Local Examples?

Dear Seniors,

We are planning to construct a creche in our company premises as per the act. Kindly clarify for me whether we need to obtain any separate license from the government to set up and run a creche in the company. Also, if anyone is aware of the availability of a Company Creche in Coimbatore or Tiruppur districts in Tamil Nadu, please let me know.

Dear Renu,

Please check the eligibility of having a creche in your organization before setting it up. Before further creche setup, the dimensions/area must be approved on the map by the DDF of your area, i.e., it must be mentioned in your building map.

Thank you for the information. Apart from the building approval, should we get any specific license to have a creche inside the company?

Dear Renu,

There is no separate license required for the same. You just need to hire a caregiver, and for qualifications, you may refer to the Factory Act.
