Notice Pay Deducted Without Confirmation Letter: How Should I Handle This Situation?

My last company deducted notice pay in my full and final statement, but there is no confirmation letter provided by this company to me. At the time of joining, the letter clearly mentioned in the appointment letter that after receiving the confirmation letter, you are eligible to receive notice pay or notice pay recovery.

What should I do?

Is there any Terms & Conditions for notice buyout in your appointment letter/offer letter? If yes, I want to know what it exactly says. If it states that before completion of the notice period, if anyone wants to leave the company, then the company will deduct Notice pay from Full & Final settlement. This deduction is as per the agreement. If the company deducts that amount without following the terms, there may be a way to reclaim the deducted salary. Therefore, I need to know the exact Terms & Conditions regarding this matter.

Was this period in excess of six months? 3. How many days' notice did you give? I understand that, as per you, since you did not receive a confirmation letter, you need not give notice. 4. Although you were not given any letter, were you ever verbally communicated that you are confirmed and the letter will be issued to you shortly? Thank you.
