Dear Nivedita,

You wanted your employees to be engaged. However, we need clarification before we give suggestions.

What is the nature of your industry? What kind of employee engagement activities are conducted in your company? You want an engagement with what? Is it the organisation's philosophy or vision or values or all? How could you segregate the mental engagement and physical engagement of the employees?

In your case, you want employee productivity to be improved because of their high level of engagement. But then the question arises, on what ratios do you measure productivity? How do you measure an organisation's productivity? Is the measurement scientific? Other than employee engagement, there are other means through which productivity is improved. Did you implement those?

The last sentence of your post says "The activities should also help employees to focus on the work more." What if we replaced the word "work" with "result"? Will it be acceptable to you and your leadership?

Possibly my above questions may jar you. However, my attempt was not to discourage you. Public forums are always open for questions and debate. Hence these questions.

Thanks,

Dear Dinesh,
We conduct various employee engagement games which give the employee's a new eye on how they can focus on there targets. We are an executive search firm, with certain Visions and Core Values(Trustworthy Partner,Entrepreneurship, Innovation with quality,Learning Mindset and Team Work). On each core values we have already planned few games and did some activities earlier. Now the second quarter starting we want our employees to focus on there individual targets. To improve the focus, I am identifying few fun but learning experiential games, which will give them new path and ideas to again get back to the goal which is set.
Hope most of your questions are answered. Awaiting suggestions if any on the engagement games.
Regards
Nivedita

An Actively Engaged Employee is one who uses his/her discretion in discharging the Duties, Responsibilities, and Roles alloted/ assigned to him/her in alignment with Quality, Quantity, and Timeframe Standards given/stated by the Employer.

Therefore, Employee Engagement need not be a "Campaign" but an enduring Commitment built over time and not instantly. Elementary Frame-work shall, inter alia, include Mutual Trust between the Employer and the Employed Person, Delegation of Authority not Centralized Copmmand, as it were, a Sense of Belongingness to begin with

Is your Top Management Team ready and willing to let go of the Command and Control Work ethos?

Team Kritarth is ready and willing to provide assistance if so required.

My suggestions may not be about games, but high employee engagement goes beyond games and will be accomplished by establishing a proper framework in your company culture.
