Dear respected senior sirs,
I have recently joined a new organization and didn't receive a proper handover from the person who resigned prior to my joining. There is one employee who has attained the age of 58 years. When generating the PF challan, I made a wrong entry in the family pension fund. I mean to say that if a person attains the age of 58 years, the 8.33% contribution should not be made in A/C No. 10 for that person, and the entire employer share of 12% should go into A/C No. 1 along with the employee's 12% share. I needed to enter zero in the EPS contribution column and the full 12% contribution in the EPS PF difference column so that it results in zero contribution in the family pension scheme, and the total contribution of the employee share and employer share (12% + 3.67% + 8.33%) will be depicted in A/C No. 1.
I have made this mistake twice, and the employee's challan was previously generated following the above procedure by the resigned person. Please suggest steps to rectify this mistake. Your assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Sunny Shukla
