Maternity Leave Update: How Does the 2017 Amendment Affect Women Already on Leave?

Further clarification issued on 8th May 2017: the government has clarified that it is mandatory for employers to extend the benefit of enhanced maternity leave to those women workers who were already on maternity leave on 1st April 2017, which marks the date of enforcement of the Amendment Act.
