Can Employees Challenge Gratuity Amounts After Receiving Them? Seeking Advice on Timeframes

Hello, please advise whether there is a timeframe within which, after receipt of gratuity, an employee can contest the amount disbursed?

I have one query. I joined the organization in September 2006. In November 2016, due to some issues, I needed to take LWP (leave without pay) as I had no leave. Will it affect my gratuity?

Yes, you can dispute the Gratuity amount received by providing valid reasons for the delay and requesting condonation of the same. By the way, you have not mentioned the discrepancy in the Gratuity amount received and whom you wish to dispute it with - your previous employer or the Controlling Authority.
